The Division of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion seeks a Graduate Assistant to plan and deliver student programming and provide academic success coaching. Dates of Employment: January 2025 - May 2025, 15 hours per week.

A small stipend will be paid at the rate of $15.00/hr. to this Graduate Assistant during the course of the employment.

Option to continue through summer to support our summer bridge program, RAMP.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Student Programming (60%)

* Plan and deliver student programming for Division that supports students' academic, socioemotional, and financial well-being and success

* Work with internal and external partners to coordinate events

* Deliver DEI related programs and presentations

* Visit high schools to recruit for our summer bridge program, RAMP, and provide college access coaching.

College Success Coaching (10%)

* College Success Coaching (30%)

* Assist with early alert cases

* Assist with creation of monthly student e-newsletter

* Provide programming and one-on-one support related to study skills, academic success, time management, and executive functioning skills

Other (10%)

* Participate in weekly staff meetings

* Assist in creation of weekly newsletter

Minimum Requirements:

* Enrolled in a master's degree program in counseling, higher education, or related program

* Interest in pursuing higher education career in multicultural affairs, student life, advising, or student engagement

* Demonstrated commitment to inclusive excellence, experience supporting BIPOC students, first generation college students, and/or students from income restricted backgrounds

* Ability to work in a busy student centered, team-oriented environment

* Effective and strong interpersonal, organizational, writing, and computer skills

* Must be flexible, skilled in managing multiple tasks, and capable of working with minimal supervision.

* Ability to work occasionally in the evenings as needed

* Knowledge of Windows and Office, Canva, Social Media
