SALARY RANGE: $15 to $17 / hourWestern Grain Marketing specializes in providing comprehensive grain handling, storage, and marketing solutions for customers.We are committed to being the leading grain marketing and service company in our area.As a Grain Intern, you will gain hands-on experience in various aspects of the grain industry, including grain production, trading, logistics, and quality control. The internship offers a chance to learn about the grain supply chain, from field to market, and develop a deep understanding of how grain products are produced, processed, stored, and distributed. You will work closely with professionals in the industry and assist with daily operations and key projects.Key ResponsibilitiesAssist with the management of grain storage, handling, and transportation.Support the monitoring of grain quality and inventory control.Conduct market research to track trends in the grain industry.Assist with logistics coordination, ensuring the timely transportation of grain.Support quality testing, analyzing grain samples for various parameters (e.g., moisture, protein content).Assist in data entry and report preparation for internal and external stakeholders.Participate in meetings and training sessions to understand grain markets, trade processes, and regulatory compliance.Required Qualifications and SkillsCurrently enrolled in a degree program related to agriculture, business, economics, or supply chain management.Must have a valid driver's license and satisfactory driving record.Strong interest in the agriculture or grain industry.Basic knowledge of agricultural practices and grain production is a plus.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.Physical ability to perform fieldwork and operate equipment.Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.High level of integrity and ability to handle confidential information.Provide Exceptional Customer Service.Issue Date: 1/1/2025
