As an employee of CPI, you will have the opportunity to make a positive impact on your community and support CPI's mission of making local matter.What the job is:CPI is looking for someone who is outgoing and friendly, can promote and support the mission and vision of our organization and assist CPI's Grain, Agronomy, Feed and Energy programs. The ideal candidate will be quick to connect with others and able to establish and maintain working relationships while building a positive rapport with producers, customers and team members. The Grain Originator Assistant will be responsible for completing a structured development plan consisting of training courses and applied learning experiences, will observe and assist experienced staff, gaining knowledge along the way about origination, merchandising and invoicing/billing processes which are required in various locations. This person will learn to assist with sourcing and procurement, logistics coordination, documentation and record keeping, marketing and price monitoring, communication and collaboration among CPI's teams, customers and stakeholders. CPI is a safety minded company thus such policies must be followed.
- Associate's degree in ag business, business management or related field. A Bachelor's degree is a plus.
- Strong written and very communication skills with a focus on customer service.
- Proficient knowledge of business computer skills (Microsoft Office, Accounting and CPI Internal Software).
- Excellent business acumen abilities: time management, planning, organization and decision-making skills.
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions as well as adapt to changing situations.
- Read, write and speak English.
