Job DetailsResponsibilities:1. Oversee and manage the entire accounting cycle, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger.2. Prepare, analyze, and present financial reports to management, board of directors, and other stakeholders.3. Develop and manage the organization's annual budget, monitor actual results against the budget, and provide explanations for any variances.4. Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulatory requirements by studying existing and new legislation and maintaining compliance with financial and legal requirements.5. Collaborate with external auditors to ensure successful audit results and compliance.6. Implement, maintain, and review financial policies and procedures to ensure internal control.7. Assist in strategic planning and decision-making at the management level by providing pertinent financial input.8. Work closely with program directors and project managers to provide financial information and analysis that will aid in decision-making.Qualifications:1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. A CPA designation is preferred.2. Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience, preferably within a nonprofit organization.3. Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and federal and state financial regulations.4. Proficiency in budget development and oversight, as well as financial analysis and forecasting.5. Experience with financial software and systems, and a high degree of proficiency with Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.6. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.7. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present complex financial information in a clear and concise manner.8. Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines.9. High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation.10.
