Join our committed team as we work to make a difference in our community.Position Overview: The Grant Compliance Coordinator is responsible for ensuring that Harbor House is in full compliance with grant requirements across multiple funding sources, including federal, state, and private grants. This role involves monitoring grant performance, maintaining accurate records, assisting with maintaining paper files, and providing training to staff on grant deliverables. Additionally, the Grant Compliance Coordinator will assist with assembling grant reports and submit them to grant managers, ensuring a strong working relationship with grant managers to facilitate clear communication and compliance.Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure all grant activities comply with regulatory, legal, and agency requirements.
  • Monitor the progress of grant-funded programs to ensure timely implementation of grant deliverables.
  • Provide training and guidance to program staff on grant compliance, deliverables, and timelines.
  • Assist with maintaining and organizing paper files related to grants and compliance.
  • Maintain all contracts and Memorandums of Understanding (MOUs), ensuring they are up-to-date and comply with grant requirements.
  • Track all employee training requirements related to grant compliance and ensure completion.
  • Assist with assembling grant reports and submit them to grant managers in a timely manner.
  • Maintain a good working relationship with grant managers, ensuring open communication and addressing any compliance issues promptly.
  • Collaborate with finance and program staff to ensure accurate budget tracking and proper use of funds.
  • Suggest and implement improvements in data entry processes to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
  • Assist with grant proposal development, including gathering necessary documentation and supporting materials.
  • Work closely with external partners and internal departments to meet all grant deliverables.
  • Monitor grant activities to ensure compliance and readiness for reviews.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Nonprofit Management, Public Administration, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in grant management, compliance, or nonprofit finance.
  • Strong knowledge of grant processes, including compliance regulations and deliverable requirements for federal and state grants.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) and experience with grant management software preferred.
  • Ability to suggest process improvements, particularly in data entry and documentation management.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to train staff and facilitate clear understanding of grant deliverables.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects with tight deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience working in a nonprofit organization, particularly in the domestic violence or social services sector.
