EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor's Degree.
  • At least 1 year of administrative experience in higher education, working in student affairs or similar student facing functions.
  • A minimum of 2 years' experience managing personnel.
  • Experience demonstrating sensitivity to and understanding of the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, and ethnic backgrounds of staff and community college students, as well as staff and students with physical and learning disabilities.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage funding in accordance with Federal regulations.
  • Supervise Title V grant staff.
  • Serve as the primary University contact for grant program information.
  • Work closely with staff, faculty, students, alumni, and community members to boost participation in the grant.
  • Support Herzing University's Hispanic student population, meeting students where they are on-campus or online.
  • Provide services to facilitate a smooth transition into the classroom for Hispanic students and academic success through graduation.
  • Advocate for these students, ensuring their classroom needs are met, connecting them with institutional and community resources, and fostering a positive educational environment.

This role is currenly grant-funded for 5 years.
