You will value collaboration, community engagement and youth involvement.Full time position, travel requiredSalary: starting $52,000Job Responsibilities:General Duties:1. Create and/or maintain a Coalition of community members who will work to address youth substance use.2. Create and/or sustain partnerships with stakeholders in the community working on similar goals.3. Organize and evaluate strategies that have a positive impact on delaying youth substance use based on the needs and resources of your community. Training and resources will be provided on Positive Community Norms and other effectiveprevention strategies.4. Implement and monitor all grant activities according to the specifications set forth in the grant.5. Ability and willingness to actively participate in and lead youth activities (locally and during state-wide youth leadership academy)6. Organize, support and educate the school and community in the Positive Community Norms framework.Qualifications, Skill Requirement:Minimum Qualifications:1. Associates Degree with 1 year community organizing, project management and/or leadership experience, or2. 3 years community organizing, project management and/or leadership experience.Preferred Qualifications:3. Bachelor's Degree in Public Health, Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, Sociology, Education or other Human Service related field.License/Certification Required:Complete Substance Abuse Prevention Skills Training (SAPST) and Prevention Ethics to obtain Certified Prevention Professional (CPP) certification within the second year of employment and maintain certification in the remaining years of the grant.
