Job Summary
The Grant Project Manager plays a leadership role in managing the grant's day-to day operations and program activities. This is a Professional Exempt Contractual (PEC) position for which an annual contract reflecting the base salary within the fiscal year (July 1st to June 30th) will be issued after ratification by Miami Dade College's District Board of Trustee.
This is a temporary grant funded position through September 29, 2025, contingent upon grant or funding and grant extensions.
This grant position will be eligible for participation in the Florida Retirement System (FRS) after 6 consecutive months of continuous employment.
Duties & Responsibilities
* Oversees the day-to-day operations of the project, including timely implementation of all required activities
* Supervises full-time and part-time project staff, including consultants
* Administers the grant's budget to ensure funds are allocated and spent according to project, funder, and college
* Ensures compliance with College and funding agency policies, procedures, and regulations
* Manages participant database tracking system for participant evaluation
* Prepares grant project reports in accordance with College policy and in compliance with funder requirements
* Collaborates with internal and external partners to optimize delivery of project services
* Works with project and College staff to institutionalize improvements and project components
* Prepares materials for dissemination via articles, reports, presentations, etc.
* Performs other duties as assigned
Minimum Requirements
* Master's degree from an accredited institution and two (2) years of relevant work experience; or Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution and six (6) years of relevant work experience
* All degrees must be from a regionally accredited institution
* Knowledge and understanding of College organization, goals and objectives, and policies and procedures
* Experience in grant management, including budget personnel management and reporting
* Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and written and oral communications skills
* Experience planning, coordinating and organizing complex, multi-activity projects (preferable in education setting)
* Ability to manage multiple competing priorities
* Knowledge and proficiency of Microsoft office software and specific computer programs related to area of responsibility
* Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions for reporting purposes
* Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures or governmental regulations
* Ability to develop cooperative relationships among faculty, staff, administration and College leadership
* Ability to work in a multi-ethnic and multi-cultural environment with students, faculty and staff
* Ability to work a flexible schedule which may include evening and weekend assignments
