Comprehensive time-off package designed to promote work-life balance BASIC FUNCTION: The Grants and Payroll Coordinator shall play a pivotal role in managing grant funding and reporting in alignment with all mandated and applicable guidelines and policies. This individual will coordinate data reporting and sharing between various departments in support of the academies' educational goals, programs and growth. This role requires a proactive individual, with strong Excel and data management skills, and attention to detail in data processing and analysis. CANDIDATE QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum of a Bachelors' degree in accounting, finance, statistics, or related fields
- Master's degree and/or CPA licensing preferred
- Thorough knowledge of school accounting standards, regulations and procedures
- A minimum of five years professional experience in accounting preferably in a school setting
- Experience with grant management and reporting or related field is required
- Proficient is Excel, and demonstrated competency in using both accounting software and HR information systems
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Ensures that all accounting for grant-funded programs is in full compliance with district, state and federal regulations, as well as with the specific requirements for each grant
- Tracks grants deadlines and manages required submissions and documentation consistent with all applicable policies and regulations
- Conducts regular internal audits and reviews of grant-funded programs to ensure continuous compliance and consistency in reporting
- Coordinates alignments of records and data between Human Resources and Accounting departments in relation to grant funded positions and reporting
- Enhances and maintains the systems for tracking grants expenditures, and submissions and provides regular reports to leadership
- Supports the Payroll and Benefits departments in payroll processing, tracking and reporting functions
