Role Description As a Senior Project Controller of Grant Administration at Form Energy you will play a critical role in supporting financial operations and administering critical grant programs. This includes construction and scaling of Form's factory in Weirton, WV and any future grants and/or future business operations. This role reports into our Senior Manager of Financial Operations, and as a part of our Financial Operations team, you will contribute to the success of Form's current and future operations by working closely with internal and external partners to ensure compliance within established guidelines and controls. You will be responsible for implementing federal and state level grant reimbursement guidelines and procedures, ensuring efficiency by implementing process changes where necessary, training stakeholders, and driving timely collection of incentive funding. This opportunity is based out of Form Factory 1 in Weirton, WV. Relocation assistance is available. What you'll do:
- Review detailed federal, such as the Main GRIP grant, and state grant contracts to ensure Form's internal process is established to comply with guidelines.
- Establish and monitor reimbursement procedures, and ensure internal and external partners are aligned on requirements.
- Work with internal finance, policy, procurement & supply chain, vendors, legal, and project managers to design, implement, and monitor internal controls to ensure compliance with established reimbursement requirements.
- Build and maintain relationships with external stakeholders including contractors and public agencies to enable successful project completion.
- Proactively drive to adherence of contract timelines and standards.
- Monitor agreements with vendors, contractors, and subcontractors for compliance with established standards.
- Ensure all project costs and invoices comply with contract terms and specific incentive requirements.
- Compile and organize project updates, financials, and schedules.
- Report cash flow impact of grant and incentive reimbursements to senior leadership.
- Support leadership with analysis and negotiation of future incentive agreements.
- Support vendor invoicing standards and process controls. Communicate changes and train stakeholders as required.
- Partner with legal to ensure contract language supports the most efficient financial operations process.
What you'll bring:
- At least 10+ years of experience in operations finance, audit, or accounting.
- Federal grant experience required, DOE experience preferred.
- Demonstrated experience in financial analysis, audit, and /or compliance
- Government grant administration experience, at state and/or federal level.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills. Microsoft Excel skills required, Oracle ERP experience preferred.
- CPA, MBA preferred but not required.
- Construction experience is a plus.
