The Community Giving Representative is responsible for the daily operations of identifying potential community partner funding, vetting funding requests, managing funding process to maintain strategic partnership and collaborate with community coalitions to maintain a community presence.You WillManage the grantmaking process, including reviewing grant proposals, conducting due diligence, supporting development of funding recommendations reports for approval, and monitoring grant progress.Oversee grants monitoring systems collecting and analyzing data and preparing reports on grant outcomes to evaluate the impact of grants and sponsorships.Monitor and ensure accuracy/quality in the grant process through support staff including a Community Giving Coordinator.Provide accurate documentation of sponsorship and community event participation requests to Director.Monitor and maintain annual Community Giving and sponsorship goals and budgets.Identify, develop, and maintain strategic partnerships with community-based organizations, stakeholders, and collaborate with community coalitions to maintain a community presence.Establish regular communication channels with grantee organizations, community-based stakeholders to ensure program needs of funding project and requests are addressed appropriately.Proactively identify key issues with community and not-for-profit stakeholders.Trading Ages - train and be able to present Trading Ages age, an age sensitivity educational workshop, in the community.Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.Maintain professional and grantmaking technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; establishing personal networks; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks.Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.Actively support the achievement of SCAN's Vision and Goals.Other duties as assigned.Your QualificationsBachelor's degree required (preferred degree in Health Care Administration, Public Health, Education, Gerontology, Public Administration, Business, and Social Work).Master's degree preferred in a field relevant to health and aging (e.g., Public Health, Gerontology, Nursing, Physical/Occupational Therapy, Public Administration, Business, Social Work, etc.) with required minimum experience in the field.3+ years of experience in aging, social service or healthcare related community services required.Working knowledge & experience in grantmaking and/or nonprofit management strongly preferred.Grant management software and other database tools preferred.Ability to build successful relationships with community-based organizations.BILINGUAL preferred in English/Spanish. (Test will be administered to assess proficiency.)Strong knowledge and relationships with the Aging Network.Knowledge•of aging services grants and funding processes.Ability to build successful relationships with community-based organizations.Strong interpersonal skills, including excellent written and verbal communication skills.Strong problem solving skills.Ability to speak comfortably in front of large, diverse audiences.Participatory style, high energy with excellent judgment.Excellent Microsoft Office skills.What's in it for you?
