Job Description:

Provides grant management, leadership, support, and oversight for various federal, state, and privately funded grant projects. Monitors and oversees grant budgets, fiscal and programmatic compliance with federal, state, and local policies, procedures, and regulations. Manages and supports subcontractor partner institutions to promote adherence to administrative, regulatory, and quality control requirements. POSITION SUMMARY Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Supports Project Directors and departments to execute post-award responsibilities for project oversight, compliance and quality control, including monitoring project budget versus expenditures, and maintaining project records, payroll, purchase requisitions, and required reports.
  • Provides post-award support and oversight of subcontracted project partners to meet performance levels, financial and regulatory compliance requirements, quality control, and facilitate proactive attention to fiscal monitoring and audit inquiries.
  • Supports project directors with disseminating Uniform Guidance information and meeting post-award compliance requirements and quality for funded projects.
  • Works collaboratively with internal and external constituents (accounting, human resources, external project partners, and project staff) to build and maintain positive relationships that promote teamwork to achieve grant goals.
  • Provides technical assistance on post-award startup, implementation, and closeout activities to ensure effective grants launch, management, and quality control.
  • Collaborates with the Office of Institutional Research to collect and coordinate information needed for interim, annual, and final performance reports.
  • Assists internal and external stakeholders with issues related to the administration of funded awards; provide instruction on cost-sharing, time and effort reporting, and related contractual regulations.
  • Participates in developing core outcome measures for the unit, tracks annual performance; supports project director preparation and submission of annual performance reports; engages the College's Outcomes Assessment Program; work collaboratively with team members to prepare, track, monitor, and adhere to a yearly budget.
  • Performs additional tasks or duties as assigned by the Director of Grants Administration or designee.
SPECIAL SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS Demonstrates understanding of the community college mission and the role that grant acquisition and administration plays in promoting student and institutional success.
  • Possesses strong experience in using information technology to deliver, monitor, and evaluate programs and services for students.
  • Strong interpersonal and technical skills, with an emphasis on analytics, goal setting, and outcomes measurement.
  • Technologically proficient in standard office desktop software and familiarity with cloud-based computing and collaborative platforms and software.
  • Advanced proficiency in spreadsheet, word processing, and database applications, with Datatel experience preferred.
  • Extensive knowledge of federal and state regulations governing grant-funded projects.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to simultaneously handle multiple time-sensitive projects while working effectively on high- performing collaborative teams.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills: a team player with strong collaboration skills, ability to form and maintain effective business relationships, and the ability to identify, articulate, and proactively recommend solutions to problems.
  • Demonstrated self-starter able to work independently and with teams within the broader organization.
  • Flexibility in adapting to the dynamics of new startup endeavors and changing conditions.
Education: Bachelor's Degree required. Master's Degree preferred or equivalent experience required. Exhibits strong skills in:

SALARY AND BENEFITS
  • Annual Salary is $65,000 - $70,000
  • NJ Educators Health Plan with free Vision and Dental. NJ State Pension plan.
  • 15 vacation days, 15 sick days, 4 personal days, 2 floating holidays, all designated holidays and 5 non-designated holidays a year. 3 Partial Sick Days.
