Graphic and Visual Designer
The graphic and visual designer is experienced in solving visual challenges for businesses and designing for both print and digital executions, as well as passionate about design and creativity. The graphic and visual designer has a sense of curiosity, thinks outside the box, is open to new ideas, and has the ability to multitask and work collaboratively.
Reports to: Creative Director
Responsibilities:
- Solve visual challenges across a wide range of projects and creatively execute modern digital initiatives. Visual challenges can range from designing newsletters, brochures, direct mail, responsive websites, email marketing, photographic retouching, trade show and event graphics, animated GIFs/HTML5 banners, interactive PDFs, and infographics.
- Design for both print and digital projects with all job parameters in mind, including but not limited to clients' brand guidelines, project goals, budget, etc.
- Assist with all phases of creative design. Translate creative concepts into compelling designs and execute on client changes as directed.
- Create clean native files that align to design best practices such as style sheets and uses master pages, layers are named, colors are used appropriately for the output desired.
- Ensure design and details are consistent across all avenues.
- Collaborate with and embrace direction and/or changes from the creative director, copyeditor, content director, and account executives (CEO and sales director).
- Continue self-learning to keep up with the latest design trends and technologies.
- Maintain sound business and professional ethics, empathy towards others, and agency and client confidentiality.
- Adhere to all company processes, including but not limited to time tracking, job folder documentation, review and proofing, file naming, archiving, and PTO requests.
- Embrace a culture of fiscal responsibility.

Requirements:
- BFA, BA, or BS degree in graphic design.
- Minimum of 2–3 years of professional design experience.
- Proficient in the latest versions of Adobe Creative Cloud including InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Acrobat, and Microsoft Outlook in a Mac environment.
- Solid graphic design skills.
- Strong print and digital production knowledge. Able to prep files to send to a printer.
- Detail-oriented, organized, and able to work with a team.
- Able to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Fundamental knowledge of Animate, Premiere Pro, Media Encoder, After Effects, Experience Design, HTML, Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel are beneficial but not required.
