Job Description:

We're looking for a talented graphic designer who can take concepts and ideas and create visual representations, in both print and electronic media. The ideal candidate will have expert knowledge of current design software and be skilled in every step of the design process, from concept to final deliverable. Collaborating with multiple teams across the company, the graphic designer should be able to take written or spoken ideas and convert them into a design that connects. The successful candidate will have a thorough understanding of branding and marketing, and be able to find the right style and layout for every project.

Job Description | Graphic Designer

The Graphic Designer possesses up-to-date design knowledge to create visual concepts communicating ideas with high visual impact that inspire, inform, or captivate clients for a luxury brand. The fullest understanding of graphic design, typography, and digital standards is essential to execute projects of all sizes and complete them with resourcefulness and dedication. Taking direction from the director of marketing and collaborating with the marketing team, you will work on a variety of materials to promote the brand and product.

Responsibilities

Design, Layout and Production

  • Reference Kit which includes print and digital catalogs:
  • Product Portfolio, Style Guide, and Price List
  • Launch materials including seasonal tabloids, postcards, promotional pcs, memo tags, installation instructions, packaging, and merchandising elements
  • Support production of digital marketing assets including video production,
  • social media images and website
  • Sales presentations
  • Creation, maintenance and sustaining of brand guidelines

Production & Management

  • File Management – organize, name, and manage design print and digital files
  • Print management – printer correspondence, file prep, proofing, press checks
  • Manage contractors and their projects as required

Photoshoots

  • Assist in direction of photoshoots for tabletop close-ups and 1:1
  • Color proofing and editing of photography assets
  • manage post-production of
  • Manage photo assets, including naming, numbering, and file storage

Miscellaneous

  • Support Product Development to create digital art for product designs
  • Other tasks as assigned
Qualifications & Requirements
  • Minimum of a bachelor's degree in graphic design
  • and at least five years of work experience
  • Strong graphic design, layout and analytical skills
  • Work as part of a team with copywriters, designers, stylists, printers, executives, etc
  • Up-to-date with industry-leading software and technology, i.e. Adobe Creative Suite, NetSuite/SuiteCommerce, Mail Chimp, basic HTML, MS Office including PowerPoint,
  • Google Docs, etc
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills with solid attention to detail
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to source, coordinate and communicate effectively with outside agencies and partners
  • Experience and understanding of luxury markets and/or high-end interior design trade segment
  • Creative and innovative with a willingness to push established boundaries
  • Ability to quickly switch focus when needed in a dynamic environment
  • Possesses an entrepreneurial spirit and an egoless nature
  • Proven work ethic with the utmost integrity
  • Leads with courage, knowing the possibility of greatness is bigger than the fear of failure
