Position Summary: The Graphic Designer II will play a crucial role in driving the creative evolution of SIG SAUER. Reporting to the Director, Creative Strategies, this individual will contribute towards the elevation of creative standards across a range of consumer and customer touchpoints. This role will involve managing multiple creative design projects simultaneously to meet specified deadlines and participating in reviews to provide constructive feedback to team members. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of current creative trends and a passion for staying ahead in the design industry. This role is critical in ensuring SIG SAUER maintains a high level of project output from the team and maintains brand standards and consistency throughout the organization. EXEMPT Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Design and develop creative graphic solutions to concepts, spanning a range of consumer and customer touchpoints
- Present the design in context to the category direction
- Execute and implement the seasonal Direction of the Category according to market trends as well as overall Design Direction and ensure consistency though graphics
- Self-manage own creative process and execute towards given design languages within the category
- Execute graphic design work according to the visual language of SIG SAUER
- Verbally presents graphic ideas and details with clarity in small groups and team meeting
- Ensure efficient process and communication flow between design, marketing and development (within x- functional team) for all issues regarding your graphics
- Ensure proper handover of graphic artworks to development
- Main duty is to submit all relevant information needed for the development process such as original artworks, color indication, execution information, artwork sizes
- Design graphics, select materials and color for products within apparel range based on the direction from the line manager and in close cooperation with marketing
- Creating 3D concept representation, 3D assets, digital product information for an accurate development and decision-making process Collaboration:
- Must be able to effectively communicate with and interact with outside agencies as needed.
- Collaborate with x-functional partners across the organization including but not limited to: marketing, sales, DTC, channel marketing and brand management teams in developing creative solutions to meet the business needs. Education/Experience & Skills:
- 5+ years' experience as a graphic designer within an agency and/or internal creative department.
- BA or MA in Graphic design or comparable education; or related experience/equivalent work experience
- Strong knowledge of graphic design with awareness of the competitive market
- Strong presentation and communication skills
- Knowledge and use of Macintosh computer design software/systems (Photoshop, Illustrator)
- Fluent in English (spoken and written)
- Strong 3D skills and knowledge of virtual tools are required
- APP tools: Clo3D, Browzwear, VStitcher or similar 3D fashion design tools
- FTW tools: Rhino, Modo, ICAD Pro, or similar 3D design tools
- Outdoor / firearms knowledge a plus but not required.
- Be curious, test and learn new and better ways of doing things Working Conditions:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working at a computer using a keyboard and mouse performing repetitive tasks.
- Ability to open file cabinets, reach with hands and arms, bend, and twist, lift and move files.
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
