Position Overview:
We are looking for a creative and motivated Graphic Designer to join our volunteer team! In this role, you will play a crucial part in shaping Shroomate's visual identity, designing materials that communicate our mission and engage our audience. This is a remote, volunteer position ideal for someone passionate about nature, sustainability, and mushrooms who is looking to contribute to a meaningful cause while growing their portfolio.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design digital and print materials, including social media graphics, infographics, website assets, banners, brochures, and event materials
- Work with the marketing and content teams to ensure brand consistency across all platforms
- Collaborate on new campaigns, bringing fresh and innovative ideas to enhance Shroomate's outreach
- Assist in developing brand guidelines and templates for future projects
- Create engaging visuals that communicate complex ideas in simple, attractive formats
- Ensure all designs are on-trend, high-quality, and aligned with Shroomate's mission and values
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a graphic designer (freelance, agency, or in-house)
- Proficiency in the Adobe Creative Suite Illustrator, Photoshop, & InDesign (we use these programs in-house already). No Canva artists please.
- A strong portfolio showcasing a variety of design styles and mediums
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a remote team environment
- Strong attention to detail and a keen eye for design aesthetics
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to accept feedback and iterate on designs
- Interest or passion for mushrooms, sustainability, or environmental causes is a plus!
