Position Overview:

We are looking for a creative and motivated Graphic Designer to join our volunteer team! In this role, you will play a crucial part in shaping Shroomate's visual identity, designing materials that communicate our mission and engage our audience. This is a remote, volunteer position ideal for someone passionate about nature, sustainability, and mushrooms who is looking to contribute to a meaningful cause while growing their portfolio.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design digital and print materials, including social media graphics, infographics, website assets, banners, brochures, and event materials
  • Work with the marketing and content teams to ensure brand consistency across all platforms
  • Collaborate on new campaigns, bringing fresh and innovative ideas to enhance Shroomate's outreach
  • Assist in developing brand guidelines and templates for future projects
  • Create engaging visuals that communicate complex ideas in simple, attractive formats
  • Ensure all designs are on-trend, high-quality, and aligned with Shroomate's mission and values

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a graphic designer (freelance, agency, or in-house)
  • Proficiency in the Adobe Creative Suite Illustrator, Photoshop, & InDesign (we use these programs in-house already). No Canva artists please.
  • A strong portfolio showcasing a variety of design styles and mediums
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a remote team environment
  • Strong attention to detail and a keen eye for design aesthetics
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to accept feedback and iterate on designs
  • Interest or passion for mushrooms, sustainability, or environmental causes is a plus!
