Position Overview:

Luxury Home Magazine is seeking a Communications Coordinator with strong graphic design and multimedia skills, along with experience in magazine production. In this role, you will be integral in shaping our brands presence across print, digital, and social platforms. This position combines creative production, client interaction, and the execution of high-impact visuals, making it ideal for a skilled designer who can blend creativity with brand consistency and marketing insight.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Magazine Production: Assemble camera-ready ads and design layouts for our bi-monthly print magazine, ensuring brand-aligned, high-quality creative output. (Magazine production experience required.)
  • Brand & Creative Design: Incorporate brand values into all creative work to ensure cohesive representation across print, social, and digital channels.
  • Content Development: Design illustrations, logos, and other visual assets using design software, crafting compelling graphics that enhance brand engagement.
  • Social & Digital Engagement: Develop multimedia assets for social media, websites, and email campaigns, focusing on designs that increase engagement and conversions.
  • Trend Integration: Leverage current trends in new media, video, television, advertising, and marketing to create relevant and modern creative campaigns.
  • A/B Testing & Optimization: Create supporting graphics for A/B testing across various media (social, web, email) to measure impact and drive conversions.
  • Design Across Phases: Execute projects through all design phases, focusing on front-end development for a seamless user experience.
  • Multimedia Content: Utilize GIFs, animations, stickers, and other interactive elements (e.g., stop motion, video) to enhance social media and digital marketing efforts as needed.
  • Engaging Visuals: Consistently deliver engaging, persuasive designs across all platforms, ensuring alignment with marketing objectives and brand values.

Requirements:

  • Magazine Production Experience: Assemble camera-ready ads and design layouts for our bi-monthly print magazine, ensuring high-quality creative output that aligns with brand standards. Experience with magazine production and layout design is essential. Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator) is required. This role involves collaboration with all team members to ensure consistency and accuracy across all published materials.
  • Graphic Design Proficiency: Expertise in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator).
  • Multimedia Skills: Foundational experience with video and audio production or a willingness to learn.
  • Digital Marketing Insight: Ability to design with an understanding of social media, web optimization, and engagement tactics.
  • Client Communication: Strong interpersonal skills to effectively gather client feedback and communicate design choices.
  • Creativity & Adaptability: Flexibility to adapt designs based on project needs and emerging trends, with a commitment to continuous growth.

Working Arrangements:

This is a hybrid role with both remote and onsite work as needed for our Austin, San Antonio, and Houston markets.

  • Consistent Magazine Excellence: Produce layouts and ads that enhance the magazines appeal and meet client expectations.
  • Cross-Platform Impact: Deliver graphics that not only align with the brand but actively engage audiences across platforms (print, digital, and social media).
  • Client Satisfaction: Build positive relationships with clients, ensuring designs meet their needs while supporting a cohesive brand identity.
  • Social Media Engagement: Create engaging, shareable content for social media platforms that drives interaction, increases followers, and elevates brand presence.
  • Conversion & Optimization: Design assets that improve website conversions and social media engagement, measuring success through A/B testing and user feedback.

Work Schedule:

This is a full-time position, Monday through Friday, with occasional weekend or evening commitments for events and workshops.

Physical Requirements:

Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

Education & Experience:

  • GED or high school diploma preferred.
  • At least 2 years of work experience in a sales-specific role with a training, organizational development, or content development focus.
