The ideal candidate will have strong creative skills and a portfolio of work which demonstrates their passion for illustrative design and typography. This candidate will have experiences in working with numerous different design platforms with a primary concentrations in Sign Design and Experiential Design.
What is specific about sign design vs the general graphic design? As a Sign Designer, you use your artistic, marketing, and design-software skills to develop signs for businesses, community functions, or other customers.
And what is Experiential Design? Experiential graphic design involves the orchestration of typography, color, imagery, form, technology and, especially, content to create environments that communicate.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the team to ensure consistency of designs across various product types
- Create compelling and effective designs with spatial illustrative details.
- Maintain awareness of current industry and technology standards, social media, competitive landscape and market trends
- Study design briefs and determine requirements.
- Schedule projects and define budget constraints.
- Conceptualize visuals based on requirements.
- Prepare rough drafts and present ideas.
- Develop illustrations, logos and other designs using software or by hand.
Qualifications
- Associate's degree in Graphic Design or related field
- 2-4 years of experience in graphic design
- Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite
- Proficient in Sai Flexi Design software a plus
- Strong communication, conceptual thinking, typography skills and design skills
- Portfolio of work
