Graphite Assembler B-7th Shift

Job Summary:To assemble, bond, and rework a variety of graphite parts and assemblies. May be required to assistlower grade Assemblers.Job Responsibilities:• Performs a number of duties to assemble, bond, and rework a variety of graphite assemblies inaccordance with shop routers, oral and written instructions, and simple drawings.o Bonds and assembles graphite and sheet metal details using assembly jigs with the useof rivets, fasteners, screws, and liquid adhesive.o Uses standard methods to lay up graphite parts.o Prepares graphite parts for painting by sanding and finishing parts to an even andsmooth surface.o Loads and unloads graphite assemblies in oven and cures to bonding specifications.• Uses small hand tools, sanders, rivet guns, drills, gauges, and other measuring instruments.• Responsible only for own work.• Performs other duties as required.Education:Must have a high school diploma, an equivalent certificate, or a bronze level WorkKeys certification.Experience:Requires a minimum of one year graphite assembly, related composites, sheet metal assembly or directlyrelated experience Must successfully complete and pass the Textron Aviation blueprint course.Working Conditions:Generally good working conditions with exposure to heat.
