Job Description:

Americans for Prosperity (AFP) is the premier grassroots organization focused on advocating solutions to the country's greatest challenges. We recognize that tens of millions of Americans are frustrated with the extreme partisanship in government that keeps common-sense reforms from being passed, and instead seek to stand with policy leaders who are committed to finding a better way.

Rooted in the Hispanic community, The LIBRE Initiative brings people together to advance public policy solutions that create the freedom and opportunity that people need to chase their American Dream. LIBRE empowers our communities by fixing our broken immigration system, encouraging affordable and flexible healthcare options, building an individualized education system, and promoting a robust economy that helps everyone succeed. The LIBRE Initiative is a part of Americans For Prosperity.

The LIBRE Initiative is looking for a passionate advocate for liberty to be our next Grassroots Engagement Director in Colorado. You will identify, recruit, and lead volunteers in voter-contact activity as our activist base holds our elected officials accountable.

You Will...
  • Build and lead a community of volunteers who will engage in multiple voter-contact activities including phone banking, door-to-door canvassing, and online activism.
  • Work with community leaders to educate the public on critical policy issues and legislation.
  • Be the brand ambassador and local face for the LIBRE Initiative in your community.
  • Plan, promote, and execute large public facing events.
  • Input data and utilize multiple data management systems including i360.
You Will Need…
  • A deep belief in people-empowering, bottom-up, public policy solutions that limit the coercive nature of government and empower individuals to pursue their American Dream.
  • Leadership skills! We need someone with strong people skills and humility to embrace our growth-focused culture.
  • Comfort and confidence working in a dynamic and fast-paced environment independent of direct supervision or direction. We need a go-getter who can figure out how to overcome new and unique challenges!
  • The ability to travel at least 25% of the time and a valid driver's license.
  • To be fluent in Spanish and English and also have a deep knowledge base on the issues facing the Latino communities of Colorado.
Stand Out Candidates Will Also Have…
  • Knowledge of the political, economic, and legislative landscape of Colorado.
  • A background in grassroots activism, political lobbying, canvassing, or campaign work.
  • Experience managing and developing engaging social media.
What We Offer...
  • A meaningful career where your work will improve the lives of millions of Americans – especially the least fortunate.
  • A vision-driven and principle focused organization dedicated to improving the lives of others.
  • Competitive salaries and bonuses. Our salary and bonus strategies are aligned to the value you create, not a standardized bell curve.
  • Generous 401K match - 6% match with immediate vesting.
  • Competitive health and wellness benefits.
  • Our flexible time-off policy allows all employees to take leave as needed.
  • Mileage reimbursement for business travel separate from your commute.
  • Opportunities for professional development and mentorship that can strengthen your effectiveness through Principle Based Management and other industry specific programs.
For this position we anticipate paying between $50,000 - $65,000 per year. Actual amount may be higher or lower based on various factors such as a candidate's relevant work experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, and geographic location. Employees may be eligible to participate in our benefits programs which include medical, dental, vision, flexible spending accounts and health savings accounts, life insurance, AD&D, disability, retirement, paid vacation, paid parental leave and educational assistance. Specific eligibility criteria are defined by the applicable Summary Plan Description, policy, or guideline.

We believe that diversity in experiences, perspectives, knowledge and ideas fuels creativity, broadens knowledge, and helps drive success. That's why we're proud to be an equal opportunity employer and strive to treat all employees and applicants with honesty, dignity, respect and sensitivity. We welcome all qualified applicants regardless of color, race, religion, religious creed, sex, gender or gender identity, gender expression, sexual orientation, national origin, citizenship, ethnicity, ancestry, age, physical disability, mental disability, medical condition, pregnancy (including medical needs which may arise from pregnancy, childbirth, or related medical conditions), military and veteran status, genetic information, marital or familial status, political affiliation, or any other legally recognized protected basis under federal, state or local laws, regulations or ordinances.
