Magnetic Technologies CorporationJob purposeIndividual will be responsible for setting up and running a range of grinders while maintaining production efficiencies. Must have good attention to detail and accustomed to working and measuring to close tolerance and delicate parts. Responsible for maintaining work quality and doing in process inspection while maintaining our corporate values.Duties and responsibilitiesSet-Up, adjusts, and operates reciprocating or rotary wheel table-type surface grinders on more than one machine at a time.Work must conform to exacting tolerances with allowances made for effects of temperature and aging of materials.Able to perform shop math and calculations as necessary to complete assigned tasksKnow different tooling and how to install them.Maintains tooling to perform at maximum efficiencyCleans machine and coolant tanksFollows established company policiesOther duties as assignedQualificationsHigh school diploma or GED2-4 years in grindingCould require intermittent long periods of sitting, standing and/or walkingPeriodic lifting of materials not to exceed 40 poundsIntermediate skill level using surface, cylindrical, Blanchard, centerless, and form grindersIntermediate competency using micrometers, indicators, calipers, Indi-squareAbility to understand blueprintsAbility to hold ±0.0001” dimensional, parallel, perpendicular, and flatness tolerancesExperience using G & M codeAbility to true-up grinding wheelsPrevious experience grinding hard materials (glass, ceramics, carbides)Working conditionsGenerally working in production environment.Required exposure to industrial oils, coolants, solvents, lubricants, adhesive and other chemicals.
