Provides safe operation of grooming machines to ensure the highest quality snow surface possible for guests of the Dartmouth Skiway.
Required Qualifications
* Basic knowledge/understanding of large machinery
* Good communications skills and patience
* Ability to create quality snow and snow surface
* Ability to operate a groomer
* Must be able to work independently
* Must hold a valid driver's license and be qualified under the terms of the Dartmouth College Driver Safety and Motor Vehicle Policy.
Preferred Qualifications
* Previous experience working outdoors
* High school graduate or equivalent

Key Accountabilities
Key Accountabilities
* Operates groomer to ensure highest quality of groomed snow surfaces.
* Maintains quality control of snow surfaces to ensure guest satisfaction.
* Inspects and monitors equipment, promptly reporting any issues.
* Accurately completes paperwork involving daily logs and maintenance reports.
* Assists snowmaking teams in transportation, surface maintenance and other duties as needed.
* Assists in maintenance duties related to snowmaking and mountain operations systems including but not limited to parking lots, timbering operations, and building maintenance.
* Assists mountain operations with snow and ice mitigation including shoveling, sanding.
* Follows all policies and procedures of the Dartmouth Skiway.
