Overtime opportunities available for employees looking for extra hours, subject to workload Matching 401k Generous paid time off Job Summary: The Ground Person plays a crucial role in supporting the production of precast concrete products through various manual labor tasks. This position requires working outdoors in all weather conditions to ensure the production process operates smoothly, efficiently, and safely. As an entry-level position, the primary responsibility is to work under the guidance of the Yard Crew Leader and Shipping & Logistics Manager, contributing as an essential crew member. The Ground Person is also accountable for the loading, unloading, and shipping of precast concrete units.Essential Functions: 1. Transport finished products, and other items throughout the facility using manual labor and equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and cranes.2. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the worksite, including sweeping, removing debris, and organizing tools and equipment.3. Prepare and stage materials and tools for the next day to ensure an efficient workflow. Communicate any missing materials or required information to the Crew Leader to prevent workflow interruptions.4. Adhere to all safety regulations and protocols, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE), to maintain a safe working environment.5. Collaborate effectively with team members to meet production goals and deadlines, utilizing two-way radios and hand signals for clear and efficient communication. Requirements, Education and Experience:1.High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.2.Prior experience in a construction or manufacturing environment is beneficial but not required.3.Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting heavy objects (up to 50 lbs).4.Basic understanding of construction tools and machinery.5.Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.6.Good communication skills and the ability to work well in a team.7.Certifications: Forklift certification is a plus but not required.8.Authorized to work in the U.S.Other Duties:Please note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.
