Job Description:

Amentum is currently searching for a Ground Support Equipment Worker at our Blount Island - Jacksonville, FL location.

The Worker will assist Ground Support Equipment Mechanics in all aspects of repair and maintenance of various Ground Support Equipment and supporting equipment to include dissambly, cleaning, corrosion control and reassembly of equipment with particular emphasis given to Corosion Control processes. The successful candidate will be required to obtain certifications and licensing to operate various shop support vehicles including forklifts and tow tractors. In addition, the Ground Support Equipment Worker will be required to obtain and maintain a toolbox containing a minimum tool inventory, a copy of which will be provided prior to hire.

Minimum Requirements:

* Qualified Worker will have at least 2 years' experience working on Automotive/Mobile Equipment.

* Must be able to possess and maintain tools required on a minimum tool listing within 30 days of hire date.

* Must be able to meet physical requirements associated with and/or pass any medical examination requirements related to performing daily assigned tasks, Corrosion Control, Blasting.

* There is a great deal of standing, climbing, bending and stooping. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.

* Must be able to obtain and maintain a required U.S. Government background security check for a CAC Card.

* Negative pre-employment drug screening.

* Must have a valid Driver's License.

* Must be a U.S. Citizen.

* Must have a High School Diploma or GED.

* Must be able to speak, read and understand English.

Preferred Qualifications:

* 3 years' experience working on Ground Support Equipment.

* CDL license.

* Corrosion / Paint experience.
