The Groundskeeper is a key member of the course maintenance team and is responsible for the landscaping and maintenance around the golf course.Qualifications, Knowledge and Skill Requirements:* Must possess the ability design, coordinate, and maintain landscaping on the golf course* Experiencewith operating greens/fairway mowers preferred* Must possess the ability to create spray programs for the golf course including greens, tees, fairways, roughs, and landscaping* Must possess the ability to operate all tools and equipment related to golf course operations* Ability to give oral and written instructions* Skilled in seeding, fertilizing, mulching, and general ground preparation for restoration and renovation* Must be dependableResponsibilities:* Maintains clean and organized works areas on the golf course and maintenance facility* Mows greens, aprons, fairways, roughs, tees, and other areas* Waters tees, greens and fairways; operates irrigation heads in dry areas needing additional water* Repairs the irrigation system, pipes and irrigation heads as needed* Grades and prepares soil base, lays sod and seeds greens, tees and fairways* Trims and prunes hedges and shrubbery; cleans flower beds* Applies pesticides, herbicides, and fertilizers to the golf course* Perform other duties assigned by supervisor or manager
