The Peel Compton Foundation (PCF), a premiere and growing nonprofit organization, located in Bentonville, AR is seeking an experienced and highly motivated individual to join the grounds crew for Coler Mountain Bike Preserve. The Peel Compton Foundation owns and operates the Peel Museum & Botanical Garden, Compton Gardens & Arboretum, Coler Mountain Bike Preserve, and Osage Park. The uniting mission for these diverse properties is to connect the community through nature, education, recreation and preservation. The Peel Compton Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.
Role Overview:
As a member of the grounds crew, you will be hands on and actively executing the day-to-day operational duties of the trails and facilities on property. This role is for someone who is a problem solver and works well independently, as well as in a group. Position requires ensuring all facilities and trail are well taken care of. This includes restrooms are sanitized and clean, the property is free of litter and debris, trail maintenance, grounds maintenance, landscaping, and other duties. You will provide exceptional customer service to Coler campground guests and Coler daily visitors.??
Detailed Duties:
Gather and remove litter and pet waste from the grounds as well as from trash and waste stations
Use hand tools typical in landscaping and trail maintenance, such as shovels, rakes, trimmers, etc.
Plant flowers, shrubs, and trees as necessary
Operate powered equipment, such as mowers, leaf blowers, chainsaw, electric clippers, rubber track dump carrier, trail compacter, sanitation equipment
Drive motorized vehicles, such as manual transmission truck and automatic transmission ATV
Provide janitorial services for all restrooms including sanitation, cleaning, and refilling of supplies
Provide excellent customer service?in all aspects of the camping experience work rotation schedule on weekends to provide campers a staff contact and support, as well as, general property maintenance needs
Set-up, tear-down and clean-up for special event programming
Support general needs across PCF properties as needed
Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
Must have a strong desire to work outdoors
Facility maintenance experience
Must have a valid driver's license
Must have excellent customer service skills
Exceptional organizational and multitasking skills
Demonstrate integrity, dependability, responsibility, accountability, self-awareness, work ethic, and empathy
Ability to be on feet all day in a physically demanding work setting
Schedule:
Coler Mountain Bike Preserve is open to the public 365 days a year
Staff coverage includes working rotating weekends and some holidays
Hours will vary based on campground occupancy and seasonal needs
