Job Summary
This position performs entry-level landscaping duties. This may involve landscaping maintenance and installation (operating mowers, trimmers, blowers, picking up trash, planting, and pruning). This position reports to the Landscape Supervisor and Assistant Director, Landscape Management.
Responsibilities
* Performs landscaping duties, such as operating mowers, string trimmers, edgers, blowers, chainsaws, and other motorized and non-motorized equipment.
* Prunes shrubs and trees, waters annual flowers, sprays weeds, and picks up trash on campus grounds.
* Plant trees, shrubs, turf grass, annuals and perennials.
* Sprays herbicides for weed control.
* Services equipment such as mowers, edgers, string trimmers, blowers, chainsaws, etc.
* Available in the event of an emergency.
* Performs daily campus safety walks.
* Other related duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
* High School Diploma or GED preferred.
* Valid Georgia Driver's License required.
* Ability to work within a team.
* Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
* Must be able to perform constant, intense physical labor; move & use equipment weighing up to 50 pounds on a regular basis.
* Must be able to wear safety and protective equipment as needed.
* Ability to communicate effectively in English, both orally and in writing.

* Ability to work within a team.
* Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
* Must be able to perform constant, intense physical labor; move & use equipment weighing up to 50 pounds on a regular basis.
