(Groundskeeper) WORK DAYS REPORTS TO Coordinator of Buildings and Grounds SALARY
SCHEDULE SUPERVISES GROUP Classified EVALUATION By the Coordinator of Building and Grounds utilizing the adopted district process FUNCTIONS
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS EDUCATION High School Diploma or Equivalent QUALIFICATIONS
* Two years experience in maintenance
* Ability to lift 100 lbs to a height of 42 and perform repetitive tasks
* Present a well-groomed appearance
* Possess a valid South Dakota drivers license and a good driving record.
* Must be reliable and available to work any shift
* Ability to perform custodial duties as needed
* References must be provided
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
* Under limited supervision, is responsible for maintenance and repair duties on carpentry, masonry, painted surfaces, and grounds.
* Is qualified in more than one building trade.
* Requisitions supplies and maintains supply inventory
* Uses and maintains machines, tools and equipment associated with building trades.
* Is able to read blueprints and schematic diagrams.
* Demonstrates safe work practices.
* Performs preventive maintenance on grounds equipment and maintains records in computerized maintenance program.
* Assists in training for maintenance personnel
* Knowledge of programming and maintenance of irrigation systems
* Ability to operate all grounds equipment, including bobcat with forklift and backhoe attachments
* Provides for his/her own professional growth
* Completes required training sessions.
* Complies with Federal and State regulations.
* Must be able to prioritize and work on own.
* Other duties as assigned by the Coordinator of Building and Grounds.
