This position will see you working at Irwin Barracks in Karrakatta WA, within a well-established maintenance team. In this role, you will be responsible for the upkeep of a diverse range of built and natural park assets which include streetscapes, training grounds, verges, and recreational grounds.This position is a full-time permanent role, working Monday to Friday, 06:00 am - 02:30 pm (with overtime opportunities) and a 12:00 pm finish on Fridays. A commuter use vehicle will also be provided for all work-related travel.The pay rate for this position is $33.45 per hour.To be considered for this position, you must be an Australian Citizen and willing to undergo a police check.Monday to Friday position with an early finish each FridayCommuter car provided for work-related travel requirementsVentia offers you a flexible, supportive, and inclusive work environment where you matterThis role comes with the added security of being offered as a permanent positionKey duties, but not limited to:Provide effective and efficient delivery of the land management servicesSupervise and assist the Grounds Maintenance Team and relevant subcontractors as neededComplete administration tasks including grounds service inspections, workplace inspections, chemical registers, and relevant reportingInduct and train new team membersEnsure effective communication within the team, including the daily toolbox meetingsRequirements:Current Driver's Licence - HR highly regardedCertificate II HorticultureChainsaw Ticket - Level 1 or 2Agvet Chemical Users Course or similarAble to pass a pre-employment medical including a drug and alcohol screenExperience in a similar parks & gardens or landscaping role - Highly desirableThe CompanyVentia is a leading infrastructure services company, operating across Australia and New Zealand.
