St. Johnland Nursing and Rehab, founded in 1872, is a non-profit skilled nursing facility dedicated to providing exceptional care and compassion to our residents. We are a 250 bed facility and premier provider for skilled nursing care. Our specialties include Alzheimer's/Dementia, head injury rehabilitation, long-term care, and subacute care. We are seeking a fulltime experienced Groundskeeper to join the St. Johnland team! As a Groundskeeper you will be responsible for maintaining the appearance and safety of our grounds, helping to ensure a welcoming and serene environment for our residents, visitors, and staff. Responsibilities include but not limited to:

• Knowledge of use for all lawn tools, including ride on lawn mowers, blowers, weed trimmers, chain saws, snow blowers and other related items
• Operate pickup trucks and snow plow as needed
• Maintain garden beds and plant new flowers/plants
• Trim trees, hedges and bushes on property
• Assist engineering department as needed for facility maintenance projects

Pay: $20.00 per hour

WHAT YOU NEED:(Requirements/Qualifications)

· Valid NYS Driver's License in good standing

· Must have flexibility in schedule during emergencies such as inclement weather.

· Must be able to work outside during snow storms to clear roads and walkways.

· Must be able to work without supervision and have good judgement.

· Experience with working for a landscaper for a minimum of 1 year a plus
