Job Description:
Facility GroundskeeperJob Summary and General Purpose of Position:Under the direction of the Facilities Track and Fleet Supervisor, performs routine facility and groundsmaintenance tasks and duties. Assist other groundskeepers and track team with inspections,labor andmaintenance of all areas of landscaping and grounds keeping. Use of light duty equipment (CaseAgriculture tractor with deck mower, Gannon tractor, and various other types of landscape tools) tosupport daily work functions.Essential Job Functions:Grounds Maintenance / Landscaping / Laborer 100%• Maintain all landscaped areas at APG• Inspect landscape areas daily for required maintenance needs• Work with other team members on various duties to include trimming of trees, repairing brokenirrigation lines• Site landscape health and appearance• Site overall appearance, landscape cleaning and weed control• Mowing of grounds with deck mower• Other tasks as requiredKey Responsibilities:• Contribute to a positive work environment and promote overall team effort• Focus on meeting and exceeding customer expectations• Responsibilities involve a definite degree of skill, accuracy, and cooperation• Possess a thorough understanding of customer policies and procedures• Ability to complete concise and accurate documentation• Promote safety awareness and assure compliance with all safety practices• Customer service mindset• Detail orientedRequirements:• Education- High School Diploma or GED equivalent required• Skills/Experience- Minimum 4 years of relevant work-related experience preferred• Knowledge of light duty/ heavy duty equipment operating• Knowledge of landscaping, maintenance, and irrigation systems• Knowledge of agricultural and landscape equipment operation• Laborer / Landscaper experience• Experience as equipment operator• Must be able to pass all OSHA Training• Excellent problem-solving skills• Good communication and interpersonal skills• Valid driver's license requiredPhysical Requirements:• Must be able to lift up to 80 pounds• Work tasks take place outdoors, must be able to work outside in hot inclement temperatures• Job requires using tools, driving, sitting, standing, and bending for approximately 6-8 hours on adaily basis• Must be flexible and available to work overtime and odd hours, including some weekends andHolidays• Ability to pass drug screen and physicalCritical Skills:• Safety- Abides by, promotes and acknowledges all safety practices in keeping with high safetystandards• Communications- Must provide information and receive feedback in a concise, accurate anddetailed manner• Dependability- Display ability to successfully and satisfactorily complete assigned task• Cooperation- Exhibits characteristics of an effective team member focused on a common goal,promotes the development of like qualities in others• Initiative and Resourcefulness- Posses initiative to take effective action, anticipates need andperforms in accordance to resources provided.• Flexibility- Must be willing and able to expand the scope of responsibilities as dependent uponrequirements of the business environment• Commitment- Able to accept assigned task with a quality result as an objective• Dedication- Demonstrate the ability to consistently perform all responsibilities with integrity• Result Oriented- Accomplish performance targets established by the customer/managerWork Flexibility:• Work schedule based on business requirements (minimum 40 hours/week) including occasionalSaturday and occasional overtime.
