Position Type: Maintenance/Custodial/Grounds KeeperDate Posted: 8/2/2024Location: Hugh Mills StadiumPOSITION ANNOUNCEMENT August 2, 2024POSITION: Groundskeeper/Custodial LOCATION: Hugh Mills Stadium JOB SUMMARY: The District Athletics Groundskeeper/Custodia will be responsible for maintaining the landscape of the athletic fields for the all high schools, middle schools, Hugh Mills Stadium and the Albany High football fields. Additional responsibilities include set up for athletic events and cleaning after the events.QUALIFICATIONS:

High School Diploma or equivalent;

Knowledge regarding the operation of landscaping equipment;

Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

Must have a valid Georgia License and a good driving record;

Must be physically able to perform standard tasks of the trade;

Ability to work well with others on a daily basis.

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:

Cleans and maintains Hugh Mills Stadium;

Landscaping responsibilities for Hugh Mills Stadium, Wellness Center, Albany High football fields, and all athletic fields at the middle and high schools;

Maintains the proper care and use of equipment and supplies;

Sets up stadium for football games and track events;

Works with the Stadium Authority for hosting of events;

Performs other such duties needed or assigned by the appropriate administrator.

REPORTS TO: District Director of Athletics SALARY RANGE: Competitive salary and excellent benefits package, in accordance with the DCSS Compensation Guide.
