Groundskeeper IJob DescriptionGENERAL STATEMENT OF JOBAn employee in this class uses tractors with attachments such as batwing mower and tiller, zero turn Z mower, backhoe, and simple tools to maintain grounds including planting, cultivating, pruning and cutting plants, trees, shrubs, grass, and flowers. Assignments are generally routine and repetitive in nature. Detailed instructions are given and problems are referred to a supervisor. Work performance is inspected and evaluated on the basis of grounds appearance, and errors are quickly revealed. The employee receives direct supervision. QUALIFICATIONS
  • High school diploma or equivalency
  • Commercial Driver's license (CDL) Preferred
  • Experience operating equipment with attachments such as mowers, lime or fertilizer spreaders, lawn roller, tiller, snow removal equipment as well as heavy power equipment
  • Experience driving dump trucks with air brakes while pulling tri-axle trailers to transport grounds maintenance equipment such as backhoe, PTO tractor with batwings, side arm, bush hog, etc.
  • Lift up to 100 lbs., stand, climb, and sit
  • Must be able to work independently with little supervision.
