Position DescriptionTypical Duties & Responsibilities:
- Mow lawns; edge sidewalks and curbs; prune & trim vines, trees & shrubs; maintain other landscape features as needed.
- Maintain assigned power equipment by monitoring fluid levels, adjusting air pressure, and changing filters and blades as recommended.
- Collect, remove, and dispose of leaves, trash, and other debris next to curbs, on storm drains, in gutters, or on the grounds.
- Install/maintain seasonal and permanent plantings as specified.
- Removes snow and ice according to the Physical Plant Winter Storm Emergency Plan.
- Pressure washes facilities as directed by supervisors.

Attributes of a Successful CandidateEducation: High School Diploma or GED equivalent.Experience: 1-2 years experience performing manual work with exposure to small equipment operation and preventative maintenance.Job-Related Skills: Ability to safely lift 50 pounds to shoulder height.Licenses & Certifications: Must have a valid Tennessee driver's license. Supplemental InformationWorking Environment: Most work is performed outdoors with exposure to weather conditions; works with chemicals; may work at heights of 30' - 40'.Physical Requirements:
