Homestead Companies is hiring for a Grounds Keeper at our student housing property River Park in Athens, OH with 1032 beds.

As a Groundskeeper, you will play a critical role in ensuring the overall appearance of our communities. You will be responsible for the general maintenance of the property and ensuring that the property is aesthetically pleasing, safe, and functional, working both independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities:

* Conduct regular inspections of common areas, buildings, and grounds.

* Pick up trash and debris around the property

* Take out any garbage.

* Maintain the overall appearance of the property by performing landscaping, groundskeeping, and snow removal duties when needed.

* Monitor and manage inventory of maintenance supplies and equipment, ensuring that necessary items are always in stock.

* Swimming pool maintenance/cleaning

* Complete minor maintenance related task when needed

* Other tasks as directed and assigned.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

* Previous grounds, general maintenance, or housekeeping experience preferred

* Ability to work a flexible schedule

* Reliable transportation

* Strong communication skills

Physical Requirements:

* Ability to communicate with residents and coworkers

* Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time.

* Lift up to 50 pounds

* Utilize hands, arms, feet, legs, and back to perform a range of physical tasks, including bending, reaching, pulling, kneeling, and lifting.
