Help maintain the physical school properties, in order to provide a safe and clean environment for students, staff, and the community. Typical Duties & Responsibilities: Cleans and monitors designated spaces and equipment in the building, including sweeping, dusting, moping, vacuuming, and waxing and rubbish removal. Assists in the upkeep of seasonal grounds work, such as snow and ice removal, leaves and other debris. Unlocks and locks premises, secures windows and activates and deactivates the alarm systems. Cleans and maintains custodial equipment daily after each use. Takes monthly fuel readings and forwards results to the Business Office when applicable. Restocks consumable items and provides an inventory of supplies to the lead custodian at the high school, middle school and the principals of the elementary schools. Helps in unloading of freight, checks and distributes freight to respective areas.
