DescriptionGroup Fitness Instructor:
- As a Group Fitness Instructor at the YMCA, you will create a positive class environment that is non-competitive and non-threatening.
- Greets all participants prior to the class and tracks class attendance.
- Welcomes and motivates participants, while following YMCA formats.
- Implements group fitness activities following the mission, goals, and philosophies of the YMCA.
- Is a role model and professional representative of the YMCA of the Northern Sky.
- Keeps the fitness studio neat and clean to ensure safety.
- Continues training and educated in the health and fitness industry and keeps certifications up to date.
Requirements1. At least 18 years old2. Within 4 months of hire: Group Fitness Certification in a mode taught at the YMCA of the Northern Sky3. CPR/FA Certification for Adult, Child, and Infant (training available!)Benefits
- All employees receive a free YMCA membership!
- Part-time employees begin accruing Sick Leave immediately upon hire and Paid Time Off (PTO) after one year of employment
- 12% Retirement Plan - The YMCA will automatically contribute an additional 12% of the eligible employee's monthly income into their YMCA Retirement Plan when the following requirements are met:
- The employee has been employed with the YMCA for 2 years
- The employee has worked 1,000 hours during each of any two 12-month periods
