Benhaven is currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse (R.N.) to join our Residential Team. As a Group Home R.N., you will oversee 5 group homes and 1 ICF. You be responsible for providing high-quality nursing care to residents with developmental disabilities and mental health conditions in a supportive and nurturing environment.
Responsibilities:
* Assess the health needs of residents and develop individualized care plans
* Administer medications and treatments in accordance with physician orders
* Monitor and report changes in residents' health status
* Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to provide comprehensive care
* Educate residents and staff on health-related topics
* Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and policies
* Provide emotional support and advocacy for residents and their families
* Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records
Qualifications:
* Valid CT R.N. license
* DDS (Department of Developmental Services) Experience a plus
* Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities and mental health conditions, preferred
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Knowledge of nursing principles and practices
* CPR and First Aid certification
