GENERAL SUMMARY:

Reporting to the Richmond Distribution Supervisor, this working lead is responsible for the assigned shift at the new Pepperidge Farm Logan East warehouse located at 754 W. 1200 N. in Logan, Utah. This is a 24/7 operation. Shift times are 2pm-10:30pm. The selected lead may be required to work 6 days.

This is a working position, meaning that depending on the level of activity at the warehouse on a given shift, the selected candidate may spend the majority of the shift performing all work themselves, or have a team of up to 5 full-time plus additional part-time forklift operators reporting to them

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Safely, efficiently, and accurately load and unload packaging, ingredients, supplies and Finished Goods and supervise the team (as applicable) to ensure they do the same.

Ensure that safety and performance expectations are met and that a safe work environment in compliance with all company and OSHA standards is maintained.

Generate Bills of Lading for carriers

Ensure that FIFO and FEFO principles are followed

Maintain warehouse inventory accuracy; troubleshoot the SAP Inventory and Warehouse Management system

Seek out and drive opportunities to reduce costs and errors

Complete the required work within the budget

Improve performance against department metrics on this shift

Work with the other shift leads as they do the same on their shifts

Develop and sustain new 5S standards and help lead 5S efforts in the department

Maintain accuracy of Yard Management System

Work with Plant, Zollinger's and PF Logan West warehouse leaders to ensure each location is supplied with the required product

The lead is required to obtain a forklift license within 3 days, assist with truck loading/unloading, inspections, safety, computer data entry, various paperwork/reports, quality compliance, etc. Work location will be primarily at the Pepperidge Farm Logan East Warehouse but on occasion may be required to report to the PF Logan West Warehouse.

MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED: High School Diploma or GED and/or 1-year production experience in a manufacturing environment required.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE PREFERRED (NOT REQUIRED): BS/BA degree preferred, Shipping or warehousing experience strongly preferred.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:

The starting rate for this full-time, hourly position is $28.00.

Individual base pay depends on work location and additional factors such as experience, job-related skills, and relevant education or training. Total pay may include other forms of compensation.
