Job Description:
Job Summary:The Group Leader supervises Team Leaders and works closely with the Management team to ensure their respective area is meeting quality Green Zone standards, documentation, and continuous improvement progress. This job requires effective communication skills and good working knowledge of Safety, Quality, Cost, and production/delivery methods and practices.Primary Duties and Responsibilities:* Oversees and leads the daily activities of Gauge Lab.* Implements Kaizens and leads continuous improvement activities that can increase productivity and reduce cost.* Verify Calibration Activity to ensure accuracy* Maintain record of Inspection results for auditing purposes* Organize weekly 5S tasks for TM's and decipher for TLs* Respond to production floor quality issues and elevates issue as appropriate for resolution.* Troubleshoot and problem solve to decision with leadership Gauge/Measurement Machine related issues and gather data* Understanding of procedures for containment of NG Gauges/Measurement Machines* Write and conduct Performance Evaluations of TL's* Handle TM disciplinary issues - Foster communication between Team Leaders and Managers and works closely with Human Resources as required and appropriate.* Follow all safety/quality rules and regulations outlined by AISIN North Carolina. Ensures that all subordinates follow safety rules and fosters a safety culture.Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:* 2-year Associates/Technical degree or equivalent experience* Experience in a supervisory level role in a medium to high volume manufacturing environment.* Knowledge of Japanese/American work culture and company and/or Prior experience working in the automotive industry are preferred* Ability to prioritize projects efficiently and change priorities quickly as required.* Ability to read and interpret gauge drawings.* Demonstrated experience with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.* Ability to conduct presentations to all levels of management.* Possesses good verbal and written communication skills* Proven leadership skills to include the ability to inspire and motivate others to achieve established goals and targets.* Desire to display qualities that promote a team environment which includes the balance of team and individual responsibilities to achieve a positive team spirit.* Approves timesheets of hourly TL's and supervises hours worked and pay/OT. May be required to supervise staff on weekends.
