Job Description

Employee Responsibilities:

* Lead and manage scientific team

* Supervise and train employees

* Perform all tasks pertaining to the mentoring, progression and performance management of employees

* Interact with other members of the management team and other department to ensure work is performed according to Department and Company Standards

* Ensure adherence to highest quality and efficiency standards in laboratory operations

* Ensure coverage and performance

* Foster morale and teamwork

* Manage and supervise Biochemistry Method Establishment/Routine projects, from timelines to execution to communication with Project Managers and Clients

* Serve as a Subject Matter Expert in one or multiple Protein Analytical Techniques

* Review and interpret data

* Write reports (method transfers, method validations, laboratory investigations, and SOPs)

* Supervise investigations and interact with Quality Assurance to efficiently and accurately complete them

* Ensure that the client receives quality data by reviewing laboratory data for accuracy, clarity, and adherence to GMP and/or GLP regulationss scientific data with clients, provide scientific information in client-facing cmunication

Qualifications

The Ideal Candidate Would Possess

* Strong leadership, initiative, and team building skills

* Strong project and personnel management skills

* Demonstrated experience in Protein Quality Control Analytics (e.g. HPLC, CE, compendia, spectroscopy)

* Strong understanding of the importance of achieving turnaround time committed to clients

* Strong computer, scientific, and organizational skills

* Excellent communication (oral and written) and attention to detail

* Ability to work independently and as part of a team, self-motivation, adaptability, and a positive attitude

* Ability to learn new techniques, perform multiple tasks simultaneously, keep accurate records, follow instructions, and comply with company policies

Minimum Qualifications:

* BS, MS, or PhD in Biochemistry, Chemistry or related degree field

* At least 3 years of related work experience

* Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction
