Overview: The Group Sales Coordinator at Arena Stage is a key support role within the sales team, dedicated to providing operational assistance, developing client relationships, and implementing group sales strategies. This role is essential in maintaining the department's efficiency through various administrative tasks and contributing to the growth of group sales through active engagement and marketing efforts. Responsibilities:
- Generates contracts, tracks, and processes payments, and provides information on group packages to inbound callers.
- Sells seats and manages group reservations, ensuring a seamless booking experience for clients.
- Researches and establishes relationships with new group sales prospects and re-engages previous contacts through various outreach methods.
- Implements group sales strategies, coordinates marketing communications, and organizes events to boost group sales.
- Creates and edits marketing materials to effectively communicate the value of group sales offerings.
- Provides exceptional customer service, accommodating group patrons during non-standard office hours and offering additional benefits.
- Acquires a thorough knowledge of Arena Stage's performances to inform and enhance sales strategies.
- Collaborates with other departments to support group sales execution and address additional requirements as needed.
- Assists with standard box office sales and operations as necessary, as well as with front-of-house duties when required. Requirements:
- 1 year customer service or related experience (full or part time); an associate's or higher degree in a related field (theatre, hospitality, marketing) can substitute for up to six months of experience.
- Previous ticket sales experience preferred; arts background or passion preferred. Schedule: The successful full-time candidate for this job will work Monday-Friday during regular business hours; evening and weekend hours may be occasionally required.
