The Group Sales Specialist is responsible for building and nurturing connections with key decision-makers to sell our product. They do so through channels like sales calls, video conferencing, emails, and in-person visits. They will perform a range of duties including generating and nurturing leads and selling high volume visits. The right candidate must have the ability to successfully close the deal by building a package that matches the diverse requirements of various stakeholders.
Duties and Responsibilities
o Drive Revenue through various high volume ticket initiatives.
o Manage assigned revenue and expense budgets for fiscal year within assigned department.
o Research the target industry to discover prospecting opportunities.
o Solicit and monitor leads for B2B sales and attendance goals set with Marketing Director.
o Identify and pursue strategic opportunities for capturing high volume ticket sales from targeted state and local businesses.
o Assist in the formulation and implementation of proactive marketing campaigns.
o Maintain database and track leads, inquiries, lost business, sales revenue, and provide ongoing status reports to Marketing Director.
o Develop targeted outreach for corporations, events, and special programs.
o Managing all B2B selling operations and activities within a particular territory, zone, or industry.
o Make networking appearances to sell throughout the tri-state area and beyond.
o Coordinate and process all phases of contracts, book orders, secure deposits and payments for ticket sales and reservations through the ticketing system.
o Work with Marketing Director and Graphic Design team to provide direction for all high-volume sales collateral production.
o Follow up with customers to determine satisfaction and secure repeat business.
o Achieve established contract quotas as assigned; revenue, per cap and attendance based.
o Report on customer relationships, sales forecasts, and new prospects within the assigned market.
o Manage various sales and marketing partnerships with city, state, and international partners.
o Planning and executing cold outreach in the form of emails and calls to attract new leads
o Nurturing the leads and understanding their issues inside out
o Conducting product demos and handling questions, rejections, objections
o Relationship management with multiple decision-makers and stakeholders to add value
o Negotiating and closing multiple sales deals to achieve high revenue
o Perform other duties as requested.
Qualifications & Experience:Education and Experience
o Bachelors degree required, with business, communications, or hospitality/tourism preferred
o Three or more years of group sales experience
o Two or more years experience in development and management of group sales campaigns
o Proven ability of identifying leads and closing sales
o Minimum of three years in a customer service role
Physical Demands & Work Environment
o Requires extended periods of time at a computer workstation.
o Visual acuity is needed for data entry, review of sales orders and budget spreadsheets.
o Includes ability to listen and speak on the phone.
o Ability to move or lift up to 25 pounds for presentation set-ups.
o Includes walking and standing for up to 2 hours for gallery tours and events.
o Moderate noise in an open office environment.
