This role involves strategic planning, enrollment campaign development, and collaboration across departments to ensure effective marketing initiatives. The Leader will also oversee the Director of Social Media & Community Affairs and serve as the primary media contact for both positive brand-building communications and crisis management.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive marketing plan in partnership with enrollment/recruitment, deans, and program heads focused on increasing student enrollment and retention.
- Lead brand positioning and messaging to align with the college's mission and strategic goals.
- Oversee the creation and execution of multi-channel marketing campaigns, including digital, print, and social media, focused on promoting Pierpont, its programs, and opportunities for financial aid.
- Collaborate with enrollment/recruitment to analyze market trends and student demographics to refine target audiences and marketing strategies.
- Collaborate with enrollment/recruitment, student services, deans, and program coordinators to align marketing efforts with enrollment goals and resources.
- Serve as the lead media contact by enhancing the College's public image through the creation and distribution of positive, brand-building media releases, and managing and mitigating potential risks to the College's reputation through coordination with key stakeholders and clear and timely messaging during crisis situations.
- Manage the marketing budget and allocate resources effectively to maximize ROI and support enrollment goals. Ensure requisitions and expenditures are administered in accordance with state policies and procedures.
- Contract and schedule vendors, including photography, website, agency, etc.
- Develop internal communications plans for high-level internal communications, such as leadership changes, accreditation, program changes, and other strategic initiatives.
- Serve as an active member of (1) enrollment/recruitment+ marketing meetings, (2) school/program meetings, (3) president's council, and (4) board of governors.
- Supervise and mentor the Assistant Director of Marketing, ensuring their positive contributions to the College, skill development, and professional growth.
- Analyze data to monitor revenue performance and uncover areas for improvement.
- Hold the marketing department accountable to the enrollment/recruitment and marketing performance metrics through monthly tracking and reporting, adjusting strategies as needed.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Strong knowledge of digital marketing channels and strategies
- Proficiency in data analysis and performance metrics
- Excellent project management skills and ability to lead cross-functional teams
- Strong decision-making skills based on data-driven insights
- Proven ability to develop and execute marketing strategies that drive enrollment.
- Strong leadership skills with experience leading a team.
- Excellent communications and interpersonal skills with a proven ability to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
- Proficiency in digital marketing including SEO, SEM, social media, and content marketing.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, or a related field, and at least 8 years of experience in marketing, preferably in community/technical college An equivalent combination of education and experience may be acceptable.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Ability to travel and visit internal and external individuals in various locations.
- Must be able to lift 15 pounds occasionally.
