Akron Childrens Hospital has been caring for children since 1890, and our pediatric specialties are ranked among the nations best by U.S. News & World Report. With two hospital campuses, regional health centers and more than 50 primary and specialty care locations throughout Ohio, were making it easier for todays busy families to find the high-quality care they need. In 2020, our health care system provided more than 1.1 million patient encounters. We also operate neonatal and pediatric units in the hospitals of our regional health care partners. Prior to the start date, full COVID-19 vaccination is required for employment. Full vaccination is defined as 14 days after the last received vaccination. Boosters are excluded from this requirement.

**1:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m.**

**Rotating Weekends/Holidays**

Summary:

The Guest Attendant delivers a positive welcoming experience at critical points of first and last impressions- the entries and exits of the hospital campus. The Guest Attendant sets a positive, helpful and supportive tone in every interaction.

Responsibilities:

1. Serves as a resource and coordinating link in assigned areas. Proactively offers helpful information such as directions.

2. Screens and facilitates access for patients, families, and visitors.

3. Summons supplementary security assistance as required to quell disturbances and prevent unauthorized access.

4. Must have outstanding human interaction and communication skills.

5. Must be proactive, enthusiastic, helpful, and supportive.

6. Must be able to work independently or as part of a team.

7. Must be able to handle occasional stressful situations or tense interactions.

8. Other duties as required.

Other information:

**Technical Expertise**

1. Previous customer service or equivalent experience is strongly desired.

2. Experience in healthcare is preferred.

1. Education: High School Graduate or equivalent is required.
