GUEST ROOM ATTENDANTDescription:Position SummaryResponsible for efficiently cleaning and servicing guest rooms to established standards in order to ensure a positive and memorable experience for guests.Our philosophy is built on the principles of integrity, fairness, collaboration, communication, and recognition for performance excellence. Meeting all performance standards leads to attracting and retaining a qualified workforce, provides opportunities for qualified team members, and contributes towards the ongoing success of the Pueblo of Sandia today and in the future.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesChanges bed linens and duvet covers daily.Vacuums the entire guest room area daily.Dusts all furniture and surfaces daily.Removes smudges from all surfaces, windows and mirrors.Thoroughly cleans the bathroom area wash tub, tiles, sink, floor, toilet, walls, doors, etc.Replenishes guest room with new amenities.Replenishes housekeeping cart with all supplies for designated work area.Visually inspects the room for cleanliness and appearance and signify completion for room.Provides proper customer service by assisting our external/internal guests when they have questions or requests.Reports on any guest room and maintenance defects.Attends and completes all required department training to include but not limited to; bio clean up, carpet shampooing, equipment safety, and proper use of cleaning agents and chemicals.Turns in all lost and found items from assigned guest rooms, properly tagging the items with room number and date, at the end of their shift.Complies with all Housekeeping/Public Areas as well as Global Standard Operating procedures (SOP's).Removes all food service trays, microwaves, rollway beds, and cribs as necessary.Serves as a mentor when assigned to train a new guest room attendant during the probationary period, using the buddy system.Works harmoniously and professionally with co-workers and supervisors.Punctual and regular attendance is an essential responsibility for all team members and are expected to report to work based upon the assigned scheduled each day in accordance with the Attendance Policy for Pueblo Sandia.Additional ResponsibilitiesPerforms other duties as necessary.Key Performance IndicatorsThis position has Key Performance Indicators (KPI's) identified as a measurement of success. KPI's will be shared with all team members who work in this job title and feedback will be provided regarding the successful completion of the KPI's as part of the performance review process.Knowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesAbility to follow instructions and directions.Ability to multitask and meet deadlines, including the thorough cleaning of a minimum number of rooms as specified by managementAbility to work independently with minimal supervision.Ability to deal effectively and professionally with the general public and be attentive to customer's needs.Requirements:Education and ExperienceRequired:No Experience is necessary, Training will be provided.Preferred:High School diploma or GED equivalent.Previous housekeeping experience.Note: Relevant work experience or education may be substituted to satisfy education and/or work experience.License/Certifications/RegistrationsMust be able to successfully pass a stringent background investigation.Will require a pre-employment and random drug screening.Physical Requirements/Working ConditionsThe following selected physical activities are required to perform the essential functions of this positionPhysical RequirementDescriptionBalancingMaintaining body equilibrium to prevent falling and walking, standing, or crouching on narrow, slippery, or erratically moving surfaces.
