Job Summary:The Guest Service Agent at voco the Cadence is a crucial member of the hotel team responsible for providing exceptional guest service and ensuring a positive and memorable experience for hotel guests. This individual will handle all guest interactions and inquiries, assist with check-ins and check-outs, and provide general assistance and support to guests during their stay. The Guest Service Agent will also work closely with other hotel departments to ensure seamless coordination of guest services.Compensation & Benefits:This is a full-time hourly position in the hospitality/restaurant industry, offering a competitive compensation package of $16 to $18 per hour. Employees will be paid on a weekly basis and will also be eligible for various benefits including healthcare, paid time off, and hotel disounts at IHG hotels worldwide. Responsibilities:

  • Greet guests and provide a warm and friendly welcome upon arrival
  • Assist guests with the check-in and check-out process, including handling payments
  • Answer phone calls and respond to guest inquiries and requests in a timely manner
  • Provide information about hotel services, amenities, and local attractions
  • Handle guest complaints and resolve any issues with professionalism and efficiency
  • Ensure accurate and efficient processing of reservations and room assignments
  • Communicate with other hotel departments such as housekeeping and maintenance to fulfill guest requests and maintain a high level of guest satisfaction
  • Maintain a neat and organized front desk area and lobby at all times
  • Participate in regular training and development opportunities to continuously improve knowledge and skills

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree in hospitality or related field preferred
  • Previous experience in a customer service or hospitality role preferred
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
  • Ability to work flexible schedules including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Proficient computer skills, including experience with hotel reservation systems
  • Fluency in English; additional language skills a plus
  • Must be able to stand and walk for long periods of time and lift up to 25 pounds
