Cabela's Gun Vault Specialist, Full Time Christiana, DelawareThe Gun Vault Specialist is responsible for backroom maintenance of all processes pertaining to firearms. This role has the ability to safely handle firearms and adhere to all company, state, and federal firearms regulations. This positionis responsible for acquiring and disposing of firearms, maintaining a complete and accurate firearms inventory in accordance with all regulations, and providing counter sales and customer service for firearms and other hunting merchandise.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:Physically and systematically receives/acquires incoming firearms and verifies gun accuracy.Disposes firearms shipped/transferred to licensed dealers and verifies disposition data.Conducts monthly firearms audits.Completes ATF required forms and certifies all potential firearm transfers for legality.Participates in ongoing training related to firearms and selling skills.Ensures safe acquisition and disposal of firearms, properly stores and prepares firearms for retail sale.Keeps work area clean and well stocked with supplies.Supports world-class customer service and assists customers in making buying decisions.Organizes and maintains firearms within the retail store.Maintains cleanliness standards and visual merchandising.Responds to all ATF or State Firearm Trace Requests promptly.Assists with training of store outfitters as requested.Follows all company policies and procedures.EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS:Minimum Degree Required: High School Diploma or Equivalent.Experience: 2 to 4 years of experience in retail.Age Required: Must be 21 years of age or older.Must be able to legally own and possess firearms under Federal and State Law.KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITY:Ability to understand and follow complex compliance regulations.Customer service and sales experience with firearms and hunting merchandise.Knowledge of firearms, ammunition, and relevant regulations.Inventory control experience.Understanding of retail and computer knowledge.PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:Regularly walks, stands, lifts up to 50lbs, and performs computer work.Seldom/never sits.Full Time Benefits Summary:Enjoy discounts on retail merchandise, medical, vision, health savings account, flexible spending account, voluntary benefits, 401k retirement savings, paid holidays, paid vacation, and more!Bass Pro Shops is an equal opportunity employer.
