There are 4 Regional Volunteer Coordinators (RVC) that provide technical support to the partnering clinics in their specified region.The Regional Volunteer Coordinator (RVC) is responsible for working with established free clinics who participate in GVHCP and cultivating partnerships with healthcare providers, academia, community organizations, and government agencies to identify opportunities for collaboration and support.After considering the protection and welfare of patients served by the clinics, reviews, accepts, and processes all appropriate applications for the clinic, licensed provider, and eligibility Volunteers in a timely manner. This application constitutes a written agreement between the Volunteer and the governmental contractor.Partners with the Program Analyst to guarantee the accuracy of Eligibility Specialist applications as they progress through the process, ensuring thorough background reviews. When approved, conducts training on eligibility processes.Notifies clinic partners and volunteers of approval status in a timely manner.Compiles electronic record files and database of all approved volunteers.Provides ongoing support monitoring of the status of a volunteer which includes clinic assignment, date activated and deactivated, license number, and contact information. Licenses are maintained and credentialed in the State Emergency Registry of Volunteers in Georgia (SERVGA) database which is monitored for license expiration and change in status.Notifies clinics and volunteers of changes in license status and deactivates when necessary.Monitors the program through the review of eligibility forms, documentation of data, enrollment of new volunteers and liaison maintenance with the Clinic Coordinators. Maintains quarterly and annual reports of clinic activities and compiles regional data to be submitted as requested by the Director.Undertakes travel to meet with clinic partners, assist at special events when necessary, and promote GVHPC.Monitors the program to ensure compliance with program policies and procedures, and administrative rules.Minimum QualificationsMaster's degree in a related field from an accredited college or university AND Two years of experience performing work related to area of assignmentORBachelor's degree in a related field from an accredited college or university AND Five years of experience performing work related to area of assignmentOROne year of experience at the lower level Healthcare Program Consultant 2 (HCP091) or position equivalent.Additional InformationGeorgia Department of Public Health Commissioner and leaders encourages all employees to engage in regular wellness activities and to make lifestyle choices that promote health and well-being.The use of wellness breaks during the workday is authorized to support this philosophy and assist employees in meeting their wellness goals.
