Unless specifically stated otherwise, this role is On-Site at the location detailed in the job post.Full TimePurpose:Independently performs complex on-site diagnostics, service repairs and maintenance work on customer agricultural and turf equipment with special emphasis on sprayer equipment. May require some direction or guidance from the Service Manager, Service Location Manager, or Shop Foreman.Responsibilities:Performs complex on-site diagnostics and repairs on agricultural and turf equipment and established Ag Management Solutions (AMS) productsTravel assigned territory making contact with existing sprayer owners.Develop and implement staff training on sprayer equipment, repair and serviceParticipates in required Service EDUCATE Training programsSupports customer clinicsReview and explain any maintenance, repair, or other service concerns directly with the customer and documents on work orderMay promote and sell dealer service programs directly to customersMay establish and implement effective stocking processes with the Parts Department to maintain the proper seasonal parts inventory in the vehicleMaintains current knowledge of John Deere, Sprayers and competitive productsMaintains condition of mobile service vehicle, trailer, inventory, tools and equipmentFollows all safety rules and regulations in performing work assignmentsCompletes all reports and forms required in conjunction with work assignmentsAccounts for all time and material used in performing assigned dutiesWill fill in as a general service tech in sprayer down time.Additional Qualifications/ResponsibilitiesQualificationsExperience, Education, Skills and Knowledge:4+ years of experience performing service repairsDemonstrated knowledge of spraying equipmentOutstanding interpersonal and customer service skillsAbility to perform complex repairs and required maintenance using special tools and equipment following Technical Manual proceduresExpert knowledge of mechanical, electrical and hydraulic systems used in the repair of agricultural and turf equipmentAbility to use Service Advisor and basic computer functionsAbility to operate vehicles and equipment used for diagnostic purposesAbility to lift at least 75 lbs. repeatedlyAdvanced or Master Service Technician certification preferredHigh School Diploma or equivalent experience required; Associates degree preferredValid driver's license required; CDL (Commercial Drivers License) preferredFork lift license preferredPhysical Requirements:The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the job duties, the employee must regularly lift and/or move 75 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds. Prolonged periods of standing and/or sitting. Ability to reach, stoop, kneel, and bend as needed. Regular use of the telephone and e-mail for communication is essential.
